Hi...I have known I have COPD for about 3 years now and only recently managed to stop smoking...I`ve recently had an x-ray on my chest area due to some pains and odd sensations and was told by my doctor that the x-ray showed there is some fluid on/in the lung and I am to have a further x-ray in 4 weeks time...the odd sensations have been, aside from bad pains,a numbness that is felt through to my back behind the lung and a feeling of a looseness or something "swinging" inside...which could be the fluid I have been feeling...is there a chance the fluid can disperse ? ...does this mean I will likely get a cancer or does this mean I already am on the way to getting ? I`m confused as I have questions to ask but nobody to soeak to about what`s going on in my body...although I will have another chance to speak with the doctor that isn`t going to be until after the next x-ray...can somebody give some advice please here ? Thanks.

Fluid on lung and COPD
It's stressful, when you don't know what's going on with your health.
Hopefully, your Docter will be able to put your mind at ease. xx
Thanks for your reply casper99 - i spoke with my pharmacist today who I know well and he explained some things to me - strangely, the bag of marbles type swinging I was feeling inside my body has not been present for a day or so - so perhaps that is a sign the fluid is going away...of course I`m just guessing but it really helped just having a person with medical knowledge to talk to...my doctor, who it is all but impossible to get an appointment with, isn`t available to speak with so this is the next best thing...anyhow,thanks for your reply.
I'm glad you feel a bit better after your chat with the chemist, getting a doctor's appointment now is ridiculously hard.
Try not to worry too much, a full month to your Xray, seems like he is not too worried about the fluid or I would think he would have made it much sooner. xx
