LUNG 25%

My dad has a lung deficiency 25% what is the remedy please suggest ..

I am sorry your Dad is having problems. Sadly You have not given enough detail for anyone to give advice. The figure 25%, as your father lost this amount of lung function or have the doctors told you that is how much he as left. Without more information etc it's very difficult.

I agree with Badbessie - not enough info. Is he on oxygen?

I like the rest who have replied feel not enough information. If he has been left with 25% lung capacity there is nothing he can do other than exercise and try to keep whats left in good shape. I only have 22% of my lungs working and having to use oxygen in order to do most things these days but I still manage to get out and about still do my own washing and ironing and also shopping so things are possible with some help and learning to take things very much slower. Hope this has helped

SANJAYKJ4 I'm,on,24hr oxygen I do my shopping and other things with my portable oxygen that I take with me walking without it oxygen goes down they told me don't let it get ,49,,or lower 90-100 with oxygen everyone different so I agree with the others not enough information

They usually talk listing for lung translant at this level. Oxygen is needed usually round the clock and he would to keep eye on saturation levels under 90 per cent is dangerous hope they offered six min walk for testin on oxy needs ? The DLCO is very important too (gas transfer) not sure what your referring to on 25 but assume it's what he has left if the dLCO is low too a transplant assessment should ensue...many can have low Fev and higher DLCO this would impact outcome and is usually associated with controllable asthma ..more info would be needed to fully answer here

I have 16% lung capacity and also use oxygen. I believe someone here said they have been on oxygen for 11 years I have for only 6 months and not all the time. I do get loads of infections with a nurse checking on me twice a month.

I sill try to do as much as possible but not so easy these days like the rest you don't give much details away please can you do this
