Hi Trish and welcome to the forum.
I'm not entirely sure about the answer to this question but I would have thought so.
An acquaintance had a gas fire in her bungalow and had oxygen.
I think it is only smoking near it that is a problem because of the lighter sparking near it.
More people will be along and you'll soon know the answer.
I hope you stay on the site with us. It is really friendly, supportive and the knowledge they have between them is fantastic. xx
Hello and welcome, Trish.
I don't think it is safe to be near a gas fire while you're using oxygen, or even if you've been using it. Maybe I'm wrong but to be on the safe side, which is what you want!, phone your oxygen supplier and ask them.
Hope to see you again soon. Take care, Sue x
Hi Trish and welcome to our friendly forum. I'm on oxygen and was told not to be within a certain distance to gas ( 2 metres rings a bell, but it may be more) someone will be along with the guidelines I'm sure. Enjoy your new home, I hope you will be very happy there. Xx
