Hi Chick. What a very odd diagnosis. Did your GP tell you this or was it the consultant? If this was your GPs interpretation of the scan insist on a referral to a good consultant and ask to be told exactly what the ct has shown and what condition this indicates. Then you can know how to deal with it. I have had bronchiectasis for 63 years and have had xrays and ct scans interpreted as pneumonia by people who don't know what they are looking at. Pneumonia is something which is temporary and treatable. It needs treating, whether you are a person with normally healthy lungs or someone with an underlying lung condition. I have never heard of 'permanent pneumonia' I hope that helps.

The might mean you been colonized with lung bacteria and that would explane what was said .

Stillstanding reply is spot on and i would try not to worry I had clown gp say i had lung cancer after my xray when reallity was granumus tissue MY war wonds from incompitatnt doctors and the failular to treat infections.

Not what you're looking for?
