BAD COLD OR SINUS INFECTION..

Hi All again.the past 2 weeks i have been sick is hell. blowing yellow mucus and having a hard time clearing a raily mucus up high near my voals cords. went to mu lung doctor and he said i have a sinus infection.... and my lungs sounded clear and that i am having post nasal drip causing these coughing fits to clear it out ... on amoxicillin now 7 days and it was clearing up but the past 3 days i have been on and off with normal fever and low grade between 99.2 and 99.9 but usually wake up with no fever ... could this be a copd exaberation or what ever it is called???? also i had another pft test done this past august and im attaching a copy of all my pft's since 2004. numbers are up and down and hope its not getting worse .. i was diagnosed 1 year 6 months ago with mild upper lung empahysema by ct scan .. all plain chest xrays show normal including the 2 i just had done on saturday and this past wednesday and 3 different doctors said my lungs sound clear also ... any feedback on my pft numbers over the years and these new symptoms i would very much a[ppriciate thanks Dennis

Its not unusual for your numbers to go up and down given mucus drp stuff going on.

I don't really know out nasal drip but i can guess it don't help with things

I have just had 3 weeks of exactly the same symptoms. It started with a very sore throat for a week, then, I was full of cold for another week followed by, the sinus infection from hell.

I have suffered from post nasal drip for 10 years. It flares up and down.

The constant coughing is exhausting and it does make you feel more breathless so, I doubt your COPD is getting worse, it's probably, just through the nasal problems. xx

thanks alot ..... i never had a sore throat or a fever the first few days on amoxicillin but now day 4 5 and 6 and 7 i gee an on and off low grade fever and i feel very cold but the fever goes away but comes back each of the past 4 days .. i pulled a snort afrom my nose and cough out a glob of yellowish brown gunk
