Hi have any of you had the corona virus I've had it for four weeks and it's affecting my breathing? Gp said cos I have asthma, bronchiectasis and pseudonyms it would last longer but this is too long !

Hi shedevil49. There are many many corona viruses. The name applies to everything from the common cold to types of flu, some stomach viruses and all of the nasty chest viruses which people give us. They are called corona because they are crown shaped. They tend to linger in us or even encourage the nasty opportunistic bacteria to produce a secondary infection because our bodies are already struggling with our conditions. I don't know why docs have to use fancy confusing language. I hope that helps.
