Rosabeth what a lovely cat all chilled out on top of your sofa what balance lol x
The words splat cat spring to mind! Totally relaxed in HIS house what more could a cat want, except of course a servant to prepare and serve his meals.
What a lovely cat, is he/she Siamese?
Gorgeous cat, Rosabeth. He certainly is chilling! Cats really know the art of relaxing. We should be so lucky! Rubyxx 😊
He is gorgeous! I can well imagine he has a large personality, and I can see where he has given the back of your chair a good "hugging". rofl.

You should have seen the chair a few years later, I had bought some matching material to make cushion covers and used some to put a patch on the chair, I then had to do it a second time there wasn't a single click anywhere else, he had a scratching post but he was too high and mighty for that he preferred my very expensive suite, not one of the other cats ever touched it. I wish I could afford another like it, better still I wish I had brought it back. In Spain you usually sell the houses fully furnished. I had to start from scratch here. That suite was so comfy we now have a leather one but we really don't like it and intend replacing it when we move in about three weeks now. The leather is cold in winter and sticky in summer so it's always draped in throws which I hate because they slide all over the place.
Monty was a Burmese and he really was a Grand Champion. I had a friend who was a cat breeder extraordinaire she bred her kittens for pleasure not money. She bought Esther to bread but she could not carry kittens so they kept her as a pet but although she had a superb cattery the mothers lived in the house and her kittens were genuinely home reared but the problem came when Esther wanted the kittens and my friend was worried that one of them or a kitten would get hurt so she asked me if I would like Esther she duly arrived and settled in instantly but she always seemed to have a slight air of sadness about her. My friend really bred Burmese and her stud Sparky ,Montys Dad was getting to retiring age so Monty was to replace him as a stud he lived in the house with Esther up to 9 months old then Esther came to me. Monty was promoted to his new position of stud BUT he wasn't happy he would perform but his heart wasn't in it so the answer was my friend asked if I would take Monty (who I had fallen madly in love with when I met him and it was mutual) well it was a cone job no question, Monty came to us result two very happy cats who it now became apparent had missed each other so much it affected their lives big time. Now you know why I call my friend a breeder extroardinary as she puts her cats first she never over breeds one litter per year for each queen for three years then they just live as normal pets pampered and loved. And never more than two litters a year as the cats are mated in turn some years she has no litters at all. Oh if all breeders were like her. She came with her husband to Spain to see Monty and Esther. She never sold a kitten without vetting the purchasers and all kittens that could not be kept for whatever reason we're to be returned to her. Then she was responsible for rehoming them or as often as not keeping the. Fortunately she hardly ever got any back.
Thank you all for your comments on my cats they are a very big part of my life. As this is a health site I had better just add that since stopping the statins my health is improving so much I really feel at least 90 per cent human. Breathing still not too good but it's been worse. More tests on Monday, hospital Tuesday and Thursday the diabetic clinic following week, forgot optician next Friday had diabetic eye test last Monday and I am trying to move house HELP. Keep well Rosabeth
I am sat chilling; I wonder what they think or dream of. X
Hi rosabeth, I used to have a Brown Burmese cat whose name should have been Houdini....he could escape from anywhere , especially from catteries...and could open the kitchen cupboards and ransack the place.
My father in law used to call the cat scratch marks on furniture , cat embroidery.
Oh I love him! He's beautiful, and I've never seen a better example of what 'chilling out' really means. He's so lovely I could go on and on singing his praises...........but I'd better not.
Awww I love him he's gorgeous! 😸 huff xxx
Such a beautiful cat Rosabeth. Which part of Spain were you living? We had a home on the Costa Blanca for a short while but I am happiest here in England. xxxx
Hi sassy59, so glad you liked my Monty, he was very special. We also lived on the Costa Blanca, our villa was on Monte Pego near Denia.it was a lovely place very green but like you I am happiest in Emgland. We never intended to return I had two daughters there but my eldest one died and my second one came back. She was not happy leaving us there as we were half way up a mountain 4 miles from anything, john had an accident and just recovered he got cancer just got the all clear and my cancer returnerd after 14 years so we came back had you asked me if I missed England I would have said not one bit but when we came back I realised that I was home and never want to leave again. Where were you and how long have you been back? . Take care Rosabeth.
So sorry to hear of your sad loss, that must have hit you all very hard.
We had a holiday home near Torrevieja on a newly built estate. It was very nice and we used to go for 6 weeks at a time but I missed home so much and family especially. Pete thought it would help his health but it didn't really so we just sold up and came home. It was the best thing we ever did. We have been back over 12 years now and have never returned to that part of Spain.
We had friends who went out to Spain to live but our friend John got prostate cancer and they too missed England so came home. It took a long time for their villa to sell as they were nearer to Almeria and it was fairly isolated but they have sold now and settled in Wiltshire.
Wishing you well and take care. xxxx
Hi sassy59' thanks so much for your reply. Yes we do miss my eldest daughter she was 49 and had cancer. Life goes on but it's different. She lived near Torrevieja Johns sister lived near Almeria she still has a house there and her daughter is still there. My health did improve when we first went out there but it was deteriorating quite a lot when we came back. It took 3 years to sell our villa and we lost a lot of money but at least we sold and got back we have numerous friends who are desperate to get back but just can't sell. What part of the U.K are you we are on the east coast near the Humber bridge. Take care sleep well. Rosabeth
That's hilarious - put a huge smile on my face - he's gorgeous - thank you x
Is it really 6 months since I was last on health unlocked ? We did actually sell our house and they wanted a quick settlement we were moving on the Monday and the previous Thursday I was admitted to hospital as an emergency with low oxygen John managed to get packed with the help of my daughter and her husband, we moved in with them while we found another house. The bungalow we bought is just a few hundred yards from them too fat for me to walk so have bought myself a Smart car, it's great for just nipping about. I had one for 9 years in Spain and I have really missed it. We have loads of work to do on the bungalow and my lack of speed makes everything seem never ending. The cats have settled well and I really love being back in Yorkshire. Health wise not too good but could be worse. Hope everyone is getting on well. Take care all of you I have missed you all and will try to make time to post now things are finally coming together. Rosabeth.
