As so many people kindly offered help, support and advice I hope you don't mind if Inreply to you all in one place. Slept all night woke at 7, had breakfast, sat down on sofa to look at paper and have just woken up! that is why I rarely take even half a Lorezepam as knocks me sideways for 12 hours. Both my sons are fiercely anti it ,so I don't tell them but I am pretty sure they check the box periodically to see how many are left. Lol. Watched Tai chi video, thank you not sure whether there are any classes locally as out in the sticks but will investigate. Never thought as hot chocolate as stimulant, just as a nice relaxing soothing drink but will try honey milk from now on. It is the simple tips that are often the most beneficial. God I love this site and all the gentle helpful people on it.
Sleep sodden!: As so many people kindly... - Lung Conditions C...
Sleep sodden!
Hi Snodgrass, glad to hear you had a restful sleep. It makes such a difference to how we feel, doesn't it?
You obviously needed the sleep after having so many disturbed nights.
It's a beautiful day here on the West coast of Scotland. Looking out its like a summer's day. Sun is out, no clouds & really quite mild.
Funny how the weather changes so quickly!
Have a nice relaxing day 👍🌺
Sounds glorious. Have never been to Scotland although would love to. I am a typical southerner and get vertigo north of Watford Gap. My late husband was quite a lot older than me so served in Second World War and in a typical army organisational foul up he was posted from Dorsetshire regiment to the Black Watch, he was so proud of his 'mob' and they even provided a piper for his funeral. He reckoned he was a shropshire Scot.
Oh Snodgrass that's a lovely story. Sorry to hear you have lost your husband but you still have good memories.
Scotland is a beautiful country but so is England.
My daughter & her family have lived in England for years. They're currently near Cambridge but have lived in Telford in Shropshire.
Enjoy your day 🌺
your daughter isn't to far from Snodgrass
Oh I thought Snodgrass lived in Shropshire.
My daughter used to live there but she's in Cambridge now 👍
I think she said the other day she is on beds/ Hertfordshire border as I said I was going to Bedfordshire she said she would wave when I went by
Oh yes that's right, she did! Are you looking forward to your night away? Not long now! 😄
oh yes just hope the weather is good , I even bought a new shirt to wear well when I say I bought it I mean dawn paid for it I picked it said this looks nice but I cant really afford it ,
Hi Snodgrass I have never been either but when I was visiting a friend in Darlington and I mentioned this, we went for the day. It was b.......y freezing!
I hope you are feeling a bit better now. x
jessy your lucky been snowing on and off all day hasn't layed only 2 degrees all day now blowing a gale here and trying to snow again ,
Malcolm, it's been a beautiful day but it's getting cold now. There's snow on the hills but because I'm on the beach the sea water helps a bit to keep it away.
I like the snow to look out at but I don't like driving in it! ❄️☃❄️☃❄️☃❄️☃
dawn don't like driving in it either unless she really have too , but I normally drive she has got to drive tonight as she arranged to go to bingo but its not settling ,
Tell Dawn to take it easy on the roads. It might be icy when she gets out the bingo. Tell her good luck for a big win! 👍
I will do , we are lucky with the roads living out in the country side as we are on a bus route they salt them all the way to wear she is going , we just pull out of our drive and the road outside is done if fact they just went passed half hour ago , lot of the villages aren't so lucky even the towns
Yes you're lucky, so if it ices over there's grit down to help.
Our main roads get done & they do grit the beach road leading to the hospital. ❄️☃❄️☃
County Council does main roads here but all the side roads in village became impassable until the 2 Parish Councils got together to buy a small gritter to do them. Such a difference, as we are right on top of hill I often couldn't get to work because couldn't get out of own road.
it was pize bingo at a village hall she should soon be home now , I haven't been able to get on internet most of night been playing up a lot lately in evenings I don't know why I pay them well I don't dawn do as I hardly use the internet but you know what I mean
Who is you Internet provider? Mobile phone hardly works in village that is with O2
we are with bt its through the phone line not with the mobile
Talk Talk is phone and Internet provider. Have O2 for mobile as son chose and pays for it! Only trouble is he chose a mobile with no coverage in the pub which suits him but we are quite close to pub so mobile only works sporadically. Have to use landline.
Hi Malcolm, maybe Dawn will have had a win on the bingo tonight!
It might be the weather that's causing the Internet to play up. How's your snow? Anymore fallen? ☃❄️☃
she won a merkat toy for the car , no more snow its very very windy and dry now
Brilliant! I love the Meerkats!! I have them all! 😂😂😂
oh not another one , dawn is the same she got loads of them in garden ornaments too
Yes my girls got me a book all about them. I've got a meerkat snow globe, key ring, picture & all the soft toys! I love Bogdan with his little backpack! My girls think I'm mad ( well it takes one to know one)! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
im with your girls on that one
dawn had two of the snow globes she had then on each side of the mantle piece her nan bought them a couple of years ago I knocked one off putting the Christmas decorations up and smashed it which was a shame as a matching pair so I will have to see if I can find one on ebay to replace it
We love you too Snodgrass. Xxx 😴😴😴😴😴😴
Oh thank you, means so much to have new understanding friends.
must be so nice for you to have met me lol
Very lucky to have met you.😕
hello andy hows you and family today , hows the chickens doing you not given us an update on them lately
Sorry late reply....guess am still grieving over the lose of one of my chickens 😢😢😢
Neen a bit more time.😢😢😢
Andy.😢😢😢
What happened? Do you have foxes there or was it illness!
Don't know...but I was a bit worried it was illness and the others would die to..that was 3 weeks ago and so far they look alright.
Am just finshing building something on my vines to grow on..post photo latter.
You must be well asleep by now.😴😴😴
Andyxx.
Still awake but am going to try and sleep now. Night night.
they often die for no apparent reason we have lost them but the others were ok
Glad you finally got some decent sleep Snodgrass. I take Mirtazapine for the same reason - i take half of the smallest pill (it comes in three strengths) and its enough. May be you could cut your Lorezepam in half again? Its caffeine in chocolate which keeps you up btw. Hope you get a good sleep tonight.
Hadn't thought to cut in half again, have pill cutter so will try that, won't use regularly as think I would become reliant too easily but like to know it is there if needed.brespiratory nurse has just been, pleased with progress so far!
Ah, Ive learnt something useful (often happens on this site!) I didn't know pill cutters existed. I'll ask my pharmacists. Cheers
GP recommended one for cutting steroids when reducing dosage, it is a little plastic box with a blade and lines in to hold tablet in place, so much easier than knife as usually lose at least half when knife goes through.
If they can't help 02 try your local vet - seriously ! The one I use is from my Vet. 😹
That's very cool Helen, thanks
Classic, only in England could you rely on the dog Dr rather than the human kind! Lol.
Well, if my cat has a Blood test Snodgrass I usually get the result back the same day. My husband often used to say he should go there rather than the GP or the Hospital !!!!! 😿😹🙀
I was treated by a vet once after a nasty fall from a horse and damaged my kidneys, hospital said he had probably saved my life! All in all they seem more understanding than Drs, sadly you can't registervwith a vet though.
Hello Snodgrass
I am here 😂
I usually find a bottle of Brandy with a splash of warm milk helpful...Knocks me out for at least 12 hours...sometimes longer !! 😂😂
Velvet xx
So pleased you are back, hope everything is ok. Did you give Malcolm prior warning of your return he is very quiet at the moment!
busy day I been to father in laws most of the day to see them and wanted him to sharpen my chain saw probably end up ill again no fire lit as they was going shopping dawns step mother put the central heating on but not sure what temperature she put it on but it was like sitting in a fridge my body was shaking by time we left , dawn reckon her toes had started to thaw out with car heater when we got nearly home ,
By the way I take it milk is optional!
if I was mr v I would buy it by the case 12 hours peace well worth the money
Hello Mm
I thought you would have purchased your Whiskey by the case, it's cheaper !!
Bet you missed me 😂😂
Xx
yes I have missed you be very quiet with out you jessy and Snodgrass and onamission been keeping an eye on me
Sounds good...but go easy on the milk.
glad to see you got plenty of sleep and glad nurse said your progressing well ,
