Hi Liz, are you on any meds for your COPD? Do you have inhalers?

If so, maybe you need a change.

Maybe phone BLF or your GP for advice.

Did you mention your problems to the person doing your breathing test?

I presume it was a spirometry test you had?

Hope you get help for your symptoms 🌸

Hello, There are lots of things that can help COPD sufferers but first I would advise you visit your doctor just to check that you haven't got an underlying infection that could be affecting your or that you also suffer with asthma which may make your wheezing worse. It might be a good idea to phone the BLF helpline before you go to the doctor - they might be able to give you advise on what to ask about etc. You can call the helpline on 03000 030 555 Lines are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

There is a very good course - Pulmonary Rehabilitation that is run for people with lung conditions. Absolutely fantastic - but you will need a referral from your doctor. It is about six weeks - twice a week, two hours each session - one hour monitored exercise and one hour information which can help you put you back in control.

Keeping fit is absolutely essential and who feels like that when you are breathless already which is where Pulmonary Rehab. helps.

It maybe you need different inhalers or medications. There are lots of different inhalers available which could help. So please go back to the doctor and ask for some help. Take good care and good luck TAD xxx
