Oxygen

My Consultant said my oxygen levels are borderline and he wants me to be assessed for oxygen at home but surly Borderline would be ok until it drops further. Any infor on this would be appreciated thanks in advance x

Good morning........thats not a term ive heard before but when you go for the oxygen assessment they will only give you it if you need it and they will explain anything you need to ask them......my oxygen levels where 76 when i was put on it if that helps

Hi Kadenfaye. My oxygen was also 'borderline' when I was assessed for oxygen. In my case this meant that my oxygen levels were dropping to a slightly lower than acceptable level. The assessment confirmed the drop and oxygen was diagnosed. Further assessments have corrected the level I use, as my needs change. It is nothing to worry about.

if you have copd, and stats are below 88 =92 you usually require oxygen but only the consultant can prescribe
