Really fascinating, thanks for the links.
Thanks st, the second link in particular is a very interesting read. One day.....
Very promising still trucking, I feel they're getting closer and closer to the answer. Thanks for posting xx
Someone filed a relevant patent in 2012: google.co.uk/patents/WO2012... but I can't find any clinical trials or updates following on from that . . .
In any case it helps establish that the lungs have an innate self-repair capability, and there's evidently more than one way turn it on - or up. So far some clinical success with retinoic acid, GHK, and something called hepatocyte growth factor (HGF): hopkinsmedicine.org/news/me...
I've had a go at it, but, it's far too technical for me Stilltrucking. Any chance of a bit of interpretation.xx
This is the most salient part, I don't think I could express it any more clearly:
Quote:
'“When we tested GHK on cells from the damaged lungs of smokers with COPD, we saw an improvement in the structure . . . GHK also restored the ability of cells to reorganize themselves to repair wounds and construct the contractile filaments essential for alveolar tissue repair.”
GHK is a natural peptide found in human plasma, but the amount present decreases with age. While more testing needs to be done on its effects in COPD, these early results are very promising. Therapeutic studies with GHK in animal models of COPD are now underway with the ultimate goal of moving this compound into clinical trials.'
Very interesting ,thanks ,good to know some t,hing is being done.
Never heard that before, gives one some hope for people in the future!
You do find interesting articles, still trucking!
Thanks for posting, xxx
Our Star Researcher hits the jackpot with these links. They are very interesting and offer hope for the future. I don't suppose many of us here will be around to benefit from GHK, apart from young members.
It is certainly very encouraging news.

Regarding the self-regeneration capability of the lung, this report (again from 2012) is particularly intriguing: medpagetoday.com/Pulmonolog...
Sounds very encouraging, hope its sooner rather than later.
Very interesting, particularly the future and slowing down ageing. But do we want to delay disease progression to death in older age? Individually some may but could be socially catastropic.. x
Interesting, need time to think about this but so often life imitates art. If it can be imagined, given time it will be created. When i was a child as now i was interested in sci-fi. I used to listen to journey into space on radio luxenburgh. My dad thought rubbish but come the 1960,s humans landed on the moon. Currrently, a crop of AI themes in drama. I think this will be the future. Still people but part machine. Our reactions are limited by what we know but drama opens us up to experience. X
