Yes he had it for many years despite stopping smoking in 1984. He died of end stage copd. x

I remember that Richard Briers had Emphysema but didn't know about Dr Spock. Thanks for the info, Cough.

Mr Spock Argana - Dr. Spock was the child 'expert' 
He kept it very quiet and only made it public shortly before his death. I had a look at his Twitter account and he talks about it a bit there and encouraged others to give up. He sounded like a regular guy. x
