I haven't seen Gordon on here for a long time but I have heard he is on another forum. He was always very helpful to me. x
Nice to hear Gordon57 is still going strong, it is a long time since he contributed to this forum but he was a wealth of knowledge and asset to the site. Hopefully his knowledge is serving a useful purpose elsewhere as it did on here.
Gordon and I are in regular email contact and he is doing well. We meet up occasionally as we have a mutual interest - Real ale. I'm hoping to be fit enough to get to the Barrow Hill Rail Ale Festival on Friday 15th May which is near Chesterfield and is serviced with a circular courtesy bus service from Chesterfield Railway station, and if you've any life left in you, I can promise a good day out if you make the effort. You can contact me for further information if you're interested or have a look at railalefestival.com. Barrow Hill features a working turntable and has regular demos throughout the day.
