Hi

It would depend on how severe your condition is.

Using Ambultory oxygen mine are 92/93%.

If you drop below 88% there may be concerns , again it also dependent on how quickly your sats return to your normal.

Have you attended. A Pulomonary rehab class.

You concerns would be better met by your respitory nurse, who can test you using a six minute walk test.

Went to pulmonary rehab but I have other conditions ... ankle and knee problem so they refused me. My resting stats are 93.

My sats can fall to approx 77 when exercising, but fortunately they recover very quickly (my resting sats are 93). When at pulmonary rehab they arranged for me to have oxygen for the exercises, so that I could achieve more.

Hi minnie,

We dont know to much about you. Are you on oxygen? What is your fev 1? I dont understand why they would turn you down with sats of 93. What are they when your moving around? Maybe you could fill us in on your medical info more.

I think very unfair that PR refused you due to other medical conditions. My PR was rubbish but know others have gained a lot from it. I also have numerous conditions as did others on the course but they did PR. Just altered exercises. Other part of course is about eduction which would be useful to you.

I have sats that are 92/94 at rest but I am exercise intolerant and been refused PR. I did it in 2008 and did OK but even then certain exercises dropped me down to below 80. I go to 80/88 going up my stairs now and the cold weather cuts me in half!

Hi, no one will be able to give the answer to this question ,as everyone is different,,,,some people there levels will drop ,Otheres the opposite ,it also depends what YOUR levels are on a daily basis, and of course how much you are putting into the exersise, you would be better asking your GP or health professional this question ,

Gp just trys to past the buck onto the respiratory team. The respiratory team say they will only come out if I am unwell. I have changed doctors twice already.

My sats are usually between 97&99 resting, but as low as 75 after heavy excercise - as per my blood/oxygen meter.

Speak to your doctor.
