Many thanks for your responses. I do use First Defense all the time but wasn't sure whether to trust it on a longer flight. Xx

Hi Daffodil :) :) I am a great believer in First Defense...so much so that I even now take it in my handbag when flying so that I can have a 'sniff' just before I get on the plane, and then as soon as I get off the plane...its brilliant..I used to pick up something nearly every time I flew before I started using it.

Then have another 'sniff' before you go to bed and the next morning just to be safe.

You are like me and have Bronchiectasis, and keeping infection free is the TOP priority, as every exacerbation leads to months of antibiotics before it clears, and further damages the lungs

I have also started using a cream called 'NasalGuard' cold and flu block ( I bought it at Boots) you put the tiniest dab of it in your nostrils and it allegedly stops you picking up cold germs. I have no idea if it works...but so far no cold for me this year (touch wood) but I use it every day when I am going to be among crowds...I will let you know at the end of the cold & flu season . It doesn't show and it doesn't smell...I just hope it works :) :)

Love Sohara
