Hi

I asked for a pastel colour " blue" prior to launch.

Fell on deaf ears.

Coughalot, I think this is a lot to do with "computer" health. I am not aware of coloured pages, and personally think that white works best BUT you need to rest your eyes. Like me, and a lot of us, you possibly could spend a long time talking to your friends in the forum which is what i like to do. Another thought is: I asked my optician to fit me up with a pair of computer specs. They do work well and make the screen easier. xxx

In my last job I was staring at a computer screen for 7 hours a day but didn't get eye strain like this. It is due to the blinding white of HU (and there is so much white). The colour was pale green which is much less stark and much more soothing on the eyes.

I don't need glasses for the screen but if I did would have to get anti-glare on them. If you are listening HU please provide options for colour if required. x

Hi Coughalot, I have the same problem as you on one PC it is so glaring I cannot always read it due to visual impairment also. However it is not so glaring on my laptop. If you get any info on how to change this please let us know on site, thanks.

Will do Katie x

you would think that a site that is health related would acede to the wishes of its users not only is the white background straining on the eye but some people with dyslexia have difficulty in reading some posts. I E book reader has already jumped on the band wagon by providing a colour change for those in need.

Yes you would wouldn't you ant? They obviously don't think about the older folk using the site do they? x

oh I forgot I have specially made VDU specs with a brown tint apparently brown reduces the harmful blue light given of most monitors including laptops.

I think you can change this option in certain brwoser. Google for your browser and put the question there. I like Pergola's idea of having glasses. I did think I wouold buy some yellow tinted glasses from Amazon. I don't know if they completely obliterate the screen; that's the problem, because I bought a useless pair of grey glasses. Because it polarised the light, I couldn't see the screen any more. Not an easy answer.

I'm having a problem with no spell check on Firefox, even though it says it exists! difficult all this.

No helingmic yellow tinted specs cut down the blue light from most LED screens and can also be used for night vision when driving a car or scooter

Thanks, ant, so to be clear, yellow tinted glasses would be good, unless you write with blue letter fonts?
