rockett - you have my big sympathies - the hardest thing facing me at the moment, is seeing my husband so ill and know that one day soon.....The important to know that we were lucky enough to have known and married them. I cant come out with all the usual platitudes but wish you well. xxx

A very Happy Birthday to your husband. Yes I know you are watching her.

For you my darling a big warm all enveloping comforting hug, wrapped in a cloud soft cuddle blanket infused with his favourite aftershave.

After the screaming and shouting at the fates, make a big chocolate cake for when the kids come in.

Love you

Dozy :) x x x

Hi rocket,

My heart goes out to you today, and to others facing the same situation. I know its really hard, but I am sure your husband knows how you feel. One of the greatest things in life is to love and be loved. You have had that and all the happy memories to keep you going. I wish I could take your pain away, but I cannot, so am sending you lots of virtual gentle hugs ((((((((((((((rocket))))))))))))and love to keep you company. Be good to yourself, so tomorrow if you can, why not treat yourself to something that you may have wanted for a while, or something that you wouldn't normally buy. I am in no way saying that this will ease your grief, but it will be a distraction for yourself. Some people light candles on anniversaries like this, so if that is your thing you could do that. I will light one for him, if you would like me to. Also sending you warm peaceful thoughts. Take care,

hugs from Huggs xxxxxxx

Hi rocket,

You must have felt hit by a truck. That feeling is absolutely awful, and the devastation you felt can only be imagined.

I am lost about your references with the letters regarding music!! LOL Must be older than I thought! Oh dearie me. Its good to have a party in your late hubby's honour, and he will be so proud of you, and you can take great comfort in knowing that he must have felt so loved by you, and you by him.

Hope the party goes well, I am sure it will, and I will be there too in spirit. I am not missing out on a party, so a virtual one will have to do. LOL Are you having the party outside? Its just that you mentioned the rain. I don't know where you live, but I think tomorrow is not too bad weather wise. It has been very windy here today.

Thanks for hug,

Take care,

more hugs from Huggs (((((rocket)))))

Hi Huggs, l live in Hertfordshire.

My hubby is 68 today. I am 16 years his junior. I kept him young lol.

When we were told he had 2 weeks max left, l did a life surprise party.

All our birthdays, anniversary's, easter's e.t.c. in one.

So we had cards and gifts given for all the celebrations we wouldnt have.

I did music he particularly liked, but this time lm doing more what l would like lol

Think he will be in heaven with his hands over his ears.

Take care as well

Hope you have a restful evening.xxxx

Hi rocket,

I have just been looking back at your old posts, as something was niggling away in my memory, as I was sure we had corresponded before, and we have. It is not long at all since your hubby died, and it takes a lot of time to adapt. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and it takes as long as it takes. In time you will adjust, which I know you cannot imagine doing right now, but slowly you will.

Are the children rallying round, because I remember in a post before you felt you had to be strong for them, but you can all support each other.

Never been in Hertfordshire, but I am sure it is lovely.

Enjoy the celebrations, and give yourself time to grieve, as its not long at all since he died. Very early days.

Take care,

hugs from Huggs xxxxx

He is here with you rockett and always will be. Just because his body is no longer here doesn't mean his essence isn't. I hope that's a comfort xx

when I saw your post to say your husband had past away I felt for you I know you are more sad today as you cannot share the birthday together but draw strength on those wonderful memories you and hubby had all the years he was with you year 1-2 is hard then it starts to get easier this is when you need to draw on your memories.

I know we all believe different things and my belief is that we just use the body in this life and it's just the body that dies, not the person themselves. It's also the good memories of those left behind that makes it all worth while.

It's too soon for the platitudes - a lot of us have been through this and we know words are pretty useless, but I try to find place in my heart for all those who have never known the privilege of loving and sharing life with a wonderful partner. Grief is the price we pay for Love - but it's a price so well worth paying.

Good morning everyone. Thank you for all your kind words and thoughts. The party went well, the music mad. Singing along to 6o's,70's and 80's music. One of my son's managed to get here and promptly took control of the bbq, He said no burnt food mum, dad would of hated that.

So today the sun is shining and lm glad to have celebrated his day. What next? A cup of tea, a good book and rest for this day, oh my the tears are flowing again.

Bless each of you todayxxxx
