Is there any way of reverting to the old Health Unlocked forum?

I'd prefer the old format as this new one lacks the contents buttons for different applications

Hi

There is no back, only forward.

What do you mean by contents button?

Topics which used to be categories is on the right, on all post page .

The dropdown menu for posts & other stuff is absent + it's not readily obvious how the forum format is supposed to work

I am trying to keep an open mind about the new format, which appears to be unpopular. The question which crosses my mind and to which I never get an answer is: IF SOMETHING works - why change it. Just give us one reason for change and I will listen. xx

Hi pergola1

It is not so much If it works why change it but how long is it workable?

Microsoft no longer give support for Windows XP or IE 8.

Which would lead to problems for website developers, if a fault occurs who takes up the slack.

Taking in to consideration future technology.

It is far better to create a whole new platform to take in.

The latest platforms, windows 7/8 Newer browser IE 11, latest version of Google Chrome. Firefox

Smart phones

Tablets

Basically there is only so many patches you fit, before changing the inner tube.

As it as been mentioned before it ia the people who make the site, I do not think they will change , from being friendly and supportive to new and old members.

I have listened, Stone, and understood. What bothers me is that I have windows 8, which I like (sone dont) so how could I be affected without microsoft. Should I be doing "something" !!

Hi.

No you should have no issues, I have windows 7 with Internet explorer 11, plus google chrome.

I have a smart phone with windows 8

I also have I- pad mini,

The biggest problem will be with older type Browser.

People with Microsoft Windows, should update to the latest browser

Which is IE 11, IE 9/10 should work any glitches report to healthunlocked.

Although I would wait for the official launch date 23rd July, to see if all the glitches have been rectified,

All other Browser, Safari, Mercury, Google Chrome, Firefox. Kindle Silk.just need to check for latest updates, most are automatic.

So what's the consensus on the new format?

I've just been reading on another thread about a further advantage - we're all offered, without our consent, to 'share' personal info with other social media sites.

What is better about the new set-up than the old version?

Not what you're looking for?
