Hi everyone. I lean just for a second... - Lung Conditions C...
Hi everyone. I lean just for a seconds and i already feel the pain in my upper back at the right side.
Hi mystick, I am sorry that you are in pain, but I guess that I am first in line to say you should ring your health centre, explain your symptoms and get an appointment. Best wishes.
Yes please take Knitters advise and see the Doctor xxx
Morning
When I get pain it's normally a sign of infection, so please ring your doctor.

I understand where you're coming from Mystick because I get just the same pain when leaning for a short time but I get it in my left side rib area. I mentioned it to my Respiratory Consultant but she wasn't interested. I think it's muscular, it goes when I stand upright again but it's jolly painful and I twist every whichway to try to ease it but noting helps until I'm upright again. Sorry I can't be more helpful but at least you are not alone.. Good luck. Take care, Lizzy.
Pain is terrible, but ask your doctor why you have this. With me, it was out of coughing. The GP prescribed some gel and told me it would take some days to disappear. I was so relived when it did! I hope you get help and keep warm. Perhaps a warm patch, a warm massage with warm oil could help (if it were my mum, she would prepare a cataclysm with brown paper and fat and put some camphor oil on it and apply it to the part and bandage me for 12 hours in bed!). Hope you get help soon.
I had a real bad chest infection early this year and ever since I have a cramp like pain in my left rib cage { back } I wake up sometimes and can't breath its not nice I have had bad chest infections and flu before but never been left with this cramp I did tell my GP she said there was a loss on my left lung and sent me for a x-ray I hope your feeling better soon
If you don't know what initially caused it, perhaps a draft or a hip / backbone / neck issue. I get certain pains that are chronic and I can say sometimes where you feel the pain is not where the cause is (kinda like a roof leak may enter a home, travel on the rafters and the leak may appear across the house. I don't like pain killers with all the side effects but I find relief with a tens unit and a ice water (cryo pump) which circulates very cold water through a hose connected to a bladder which covers the pain area. I cn tell you, you feel pain in the brain so you want the ice or tens unit above the pain as the nerve is sending the message to your brain. Acupuncture also works but it can take numerous treatments.
