Thanks to everyone who gave me there best wishes. I have a lot of scarring on my lungs but they are making me wait for another six months before telling me what they are going to do for me.

Sorry, but can't understand why you have to wait so long? That doesn't sound right to me.xx
That is GOOD news. If they had found anything in need of immediate attention. you would have been writing your piece from a hospital bed. The six months is a monitoring time...then they will compare your two sets of results...just keep hoping you stay on the six months monitoring.
I am more or less the same but mine is 3 months (just been extended 1 month)
OK, you wait, but you can take an active part in your improvement! Contact your GP and ask to be put on Pulmonary Rehabilitation. This is a group of lung problem people monitored by fantastic nurses who know what's happening to patients when they get short of breath; they know the worries. They also know the medications and they explain quite a bit and reassure you on how to overcome shortness of breath. They put you after an assessment into an expercise programme that last about 6 weeks. This is your chance to make some improvement, gently of course. But that is worth asking for. Deal with the positive aspect of yourself, and the scarring with take care of itself too! (It won't disappear, but you will be able to know how to manage). Keep the spirit high and come and tell of your progress.
