Yes I take them. I take 60mg per day. So 2 at night. They do help me to sleep but if I need to wake up due to breathing diff I will do. I find them very helpful. But took a long time for my body to get used to them!

Not taking that med Brooke but hope they kick in soon and do some good - if not maybe doc could try you on something else.

Wanted to wish you a happy Easter also and improving health. Sending you a hug....Lovelight x

I was told the high dose was 45mg. I am taking 30mg. Thanks for your help.

Pete not on those meds Brooke but I just wanted to say Happy Easter and hope you do well on these tablets. Good luck to you. xxxxx

I am on that Brooke for sleeping. I am prescribed 15mg at night but find they make me feel spaced out so I only take half. Seems to work for me. I used to be on them during the day - 45mg - but found they made me too sleepy at work. I don't know how you handle 60mg Bevvy! I would never be awake :d x

Like I said it took me a long time to get used to them! I used to feel very drunk and spacey during the day but ok now! However I do think the recommended dose of 3-4 Easter eggs should be tried as well!

When I became ill and my wife went into hospital long term, this devastated me. I cried in front of my chest specialist. he referred me to a lovely, sanguine lady who told me: Mertazapine is a non addictive drug, it will make you sleep at night, it will make you eat ( I had lost a huge amount of weight) and generally, it will help you face the turmoil of life in a better way. You take it for 11/2 year and you come out of it it you wish. For me, this was my "happy" drug. It did in my body and mind all that she had described. I had it for about 2 years, then weaned myself by only taking half of one , then skipping a day etc. It helped me go through my wife being ill. she's still ill and in mental hospital, but the sting has come out. Thank you Mrs sanguine psychiatrist!
