Hello gadwally, I have obstructive/restrictive airways disease Emph/Bronchitis but not diabetes, I do know of a lady on another site though who had steroid induced diabetes and she found herself in a very bad way with a fev1 of only 9% she was able to get off the steroids, lose an enormous amount of weight by swimming/diet, someone walked along side of her with her oxygen...it took a long time but now she is like a different person, her fev1 is in the 50's and she looks great, no longer on oxygen. I hope you hear from someone like yourself soon with some help and advice,All the best, hufferpuffer. x

I have Restrictive Lung Disease with Pulmonary Atrial Hypertension plus a Paralysed Diaphragm but am not sure if it is the same? I do not have diabetes but showed bouts of high sugar. I have been taken off steroids and told that my other inhalers are giving me no viable benefit. I have been told that I will have to make lifestyle changes and exercise will give me no benefit. (If I swim I stop breathing) But no solution has been offered except lose weight.

Maybe give BLF a call number found by clicking the red balloon.
