Do you need to notify D V L A when you use oxygen ?

I was told to let my insurance know which I did they just made a note of it and said to make sure it was secure in the boot or back seat. As far as DVLA I recently had to renew my licence so I just answered the questions asked can't remember if it included O2 users. Hope this helps you paperman36.

Including asthma, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).

Group 1 entitlement ODL – car, motorcycle

DVLA need not be notified unless attacks are associated with disabling giddiness, fainting or loss of consciousness.

Group 2 entitlement vocational – lorries, buses

As for Group 1 licence above.

It seems as long as it will not going to make you black out you are okay but that changes with commercial driving I was told I cannot have a PSV, HGV or become a pilot
