I don't often feel better until a good few days after finishing ab's rosebud but would go back and see your doc after 3 or 4 days if no better as you may need a second course of them. If you are able to check your phlegm then the clearer it is the better but even when the infection is gone the yuck can still still in your chest making you feel breathless still (I'm suffering from this at the mo!) Drinking plenty water can help loosen/thin it a bit, or the doc can prescribe some carbocisteine capsules which do a much better job, Hope you feel better soon. Sadie xx
Hi, if your chest still has not cleared after finishing antibiotics perhaps you should go and get checked out by the doc before the Christmas holiday, better to be safe than sorry.
Hope you are well soon.
polly xx
an antibiotic should make you feel better when it starts working, say by the fourth day or so. when your AB is finished, you might find that you don't feel better. As others said, have your sputum checked and tell your doctor you don't feel better. if let go, bacteria will proliferate again and yo will deteriorate quickly. You'd better have your sputum analysed asap.
