Friday morning, I got the dig in the ribs, time to wake up call. It's 6 0'clock and time for the dreaded Alendronic Acid again. So OH goes downstairs to make tea and I go back to sleep. No pill that day.
Saturday morning, I got the dig in the ribs, time to wake up call. It's 6 0'clock and time for the dreaded Alendronic Acid again. So OH goes downstairs to make tea and I go back to sleep. No pill yesterday either.
Sunday morning, I got the dig in the ribs, time to wake up call. It's 6 0'clock and time for the dreaded Alendronic Acid again. So OH goes downstairs to make tea and I take it. Now to remain upright to allow it to get to stomach and in the stomach acid.
Feeling really proud of myself now, not only have I remembered to take it but also drank a full glass of water. I hate water to drink and now have to get up briefly. You don't really want to know why do you?
Now 6.45, I'm back in bed, really looking forward to tea and up it comes, closely followed by the shadows. Now this first cup of tea is also the meds taking cup of tea.
Lift mask off face to put the 5 little pills, in my egg cup, up to mouth, in they go, mouthful of tea and swallow. Mask back on and breathe.
Somewhere between swallow and breathe something went wrong and I ended up breathing tea with the pills still in mouth.
First thought swallow pills, cough, swallow, pills gone. Second though can't breathe, open mouth, still can't breath. Then thought went out the window and instinct took over. Coughed, then heaved a breath in and coughed again.
Soon everything back to normal.
But I keep thinking what if? If hubby hadn't been there. If I had panicked. Still no what if, a few brain cells went out so I am a little dozier but no damage done.
Be careful everyone, fragile lungs do not like swimming in tea, on the plus side it has cleared any mucus I did have!
