Good, yes....but a bit too much of a good thing unless you want engineers crashing about in the middle of the night!! I have a brother who is 71. His gas boiler is playing up so he rang his supplier Eon; was told that he'd have to wait until January 2014 unless he's over 70. when he said he was they found an appointment for him in two or three days.
Lovelight
Lovelight if someone is over 65 they should be on the suppliers vulnerable customer list, giving priority if they have a problem, so get your brother registered is my advice. I am on the list of my fuel company for both age and disability, it enables me to have large print bills also. Hope the info helps
That is why I left E-ON
That is a good response KOTC, but it is a weird time to have engineers fixing a boiler, neighbours might not appreciate if they are banging around in the early hours and they have work next day Good luck with repair
Hi, hope you are all fixed up with heating now.
2am? Jings I would not want to answer the door at that time, saying that, If I fell asleep it would take more than a bomb to wake me so a gas engineer would have no chance. DONT THEY SLEEP??.
Tom.
I am a bit of a scaredy cat dont think I would answer the door at 2am.
Well KOTC glad to hear your heating is fixed and you are warm again. Sounds like a brilliant service to me and with as little inconvenience as possible. Well done to British Gas
Yes plus a gold star
I hope they come in uniform: a red cassock, red hat with a wollen bob on the end and a white beard, singing HO, Ho, HO, we are the gas people! have a Jolly good night! let's go in lads, and start banging!!!
