Hello Firstly don't worry! Easy to say on a Friday night. My husband was prescribed oxygen by the specialist respiratory team because his sats were dropping when he did the walking test. As I understand it oxygen is used to protect your organs.
My husband uses it now for shopping trips etc. and has been referred for a blood gas test. He has found it helpful.
I would advise you ring the blf helpline on Monday with any questions. Take good care TAD xx

cheers will do that .have a nice weekend
It's good news that you have ambulatory oxygen -- you will be able to do SO much more, without gasping for breath! I've had it for a few years and I go off on holiday without worrying any more.
The physio may be to give you exercises to do -- which will be easier with the oxygen. I do three sessions a week at the gym (where the staff take good care of me) just to build up my endurance and stop my lungs deteriorating quickly.
Make the most of the opportunity. tobydoo. COPD is horrible, but this really will help you.
