Not long diagnosed with COPD severe and alpha 1, just wondering how long anyone has waited for pulmonary rehab (in Aberdeen) thanks.

Hi Lorrraine there dont appear to be many folks in Aberdeen who'vebeen to PR.

I'm far away in London and very lucky (being mild) in waiting about 5 weeks.

I've recently finished and it was marvellous so I really hope yours comes up before too long. Good luck. peeg

Hi Lorraine, We are not in Aberdeen (not much help then!) but my husband was offered it in June, called for an assessment in July and has just started the PR course last week. If I were you I would badger them! not too much just enough for the team to know you are serious about starting. Take care and hope you get on the course very soon, the first one my husband did was life changing and I have high hopes for this course. With love TAD xx

I'm not Aberdeen but I did wait 6 months for a place years ago. Check with your local hospital respiratory team to see what the usual waiting time is and to ask if they have received your doctor's referral.

Hope you don't have to wait too long.

I was diagnosed in march with alpha 1 and severe emphysema I got my assess ment within 2 months was brilliant would recommend rehab to all
