I have been told that it is better for asthma sufferers to dry clothes in the tumble drier, rather than put them on the line to trap pollen and "stuff" in the air, especially sheets and pillow cases.

Tumble driers.

I knew I had a good reason for always using a tumble drier! Not just because it's easier than trudging up the garden - it's because it's better for everyone's breathing! Thanks for this Annie
I can honestly say i have never had any problems drying my washing outdoors,,love the smell of newly dried clothes
I prefer out of doors, but for me its a no no. Plus hanging it out, cant cope with that -- sigh!
My husband carries the washing basket out, I hang it (you should see his hanging), then I take it down and he carries it in. Combined effort! Keep smiling.

Nice to hear, carole. That would have been a good idea, to do it together, but I prefer not to hang it out. In this area, the pollen count is very high and the clothes and bed linen act as pollen traps. I have read a lot about this. But all depends on the condition you have.
Gosh that is a new one on me. Its no wonder I start to sneeze when I get into my bed. lol. Especially this year with the weather being so good for drying outside. I
I did learn the hard way when I dried a few things on the radiator during the winter months. Never again!

A dryer from Tescos is ok. Wont do radiators. It is sad that i have to avoid the washing line, advised by another sufferer. The air around here isn't good apparently.
