Do you think, Dorothy, it's got something to do with us usually getting beat? Or just a total disinterest in sports in general ? LOL :)

Len was the same radio tv on holiday he would go back to the hotel to watch the test match i loved that it ment i could shop !!When i lived in Aberdeen a friend of mine would lock her door when tennis was on and she wouldnt answer it to anyone take care Sandra

love Dorothy xx

I could be so wrong, but I played tennis at school, and learned how to score then. Football is look away time. Cricket could be more interesting if they speeded it up. Golf is go to sleep time + grand prix racing. But rugby, especially when Jonny Wilkerson used to play, loved that.

I have watched tennis for years - I think bjorn borg and john macenroe were around when I first started taking an interest.

Its about the only sport I watch..and have been since the borg/ mcenroe days x

in reply to

Hope you enjoyed the game as much as I did Annie

There was more personalities in the game in those days remember Nastase and yvonne goolagong?

love Julie xx

in reply to

I remember when it was fun and not so serious .... a long time ago. I loved Ilie Nastase - always a laugh, but a good sport. :)

Sandra

Remember some bloke's shorts came down now who was it. Ivan Lendl was always so inscrutable and hasn't changed. Always liked Andre Agassi.

in reply to

Never watched him play, but Andre Agassi was hubba hubba :)

Hi dancingdavec, welcome to the forum. Hubba hubba is a term used to alert others to a male perceived as eye candy :)

OK Sandra does that mean that Agassi was very fanciable lol Take Care

in reply to

Cannot remember that one Annie I do remember a woman playing in a cat suit she was told not to wear it again though. and yes Agassi was lovely. What ever happened to Monica seles and anna kournikova ?

I went to Wimbledon once when I was young and saw someone called Emmerson.

Still remember the atmosphere.
