I lived in Paris for a while, in my middle years.
Thanks for posting that - and brilliant with the evocative B/W photos. He was a great musician and died far too young. I liked in Lizzy as well as his solo stuff.
Are you a musician? I was a drummer for years till the COPD put paid to that lol!
I was fortunate to know the great man and the best of his work on youtube was just 2 months before he died filmed in the Ranelagh pub in kemptown, Brighton.
Makes the hairs on ur arms tingle. What a fantastic track
Peter picked the right man to give his gibo to.
So many memories thank you.
Apart from the wonderfully evocative music, the photos were great too.
Sort of inspires me to visit Paris, not too difficult seeing as I live in Belgium.

I love Paris, I've got some of the best memories from a long life, when living there
A fabulous response from everyone to a great musician and great track too, Thank you
Aw, that was great. Evocative. I too lived in Paris once apon a time. I lived in Rue du Bellechase, opposite Musee d'Orsay (when it was a semi-derelict station).
happy days eh?
I loved it - and still love it when I can get back. Paris does create lovely memories.
I used to go to Comedie Francaise at often as possible
Nowadays I go south as my son lives in Cassis, east of Marseille and I get the occasional sail in the Med with a friend.
Gary Moore -one of the greats. Saw him in 1971-2 with Skid Row, in a sweaty club. Tall skinny kid with hair down to his waist, playing a Gibson Les Paul and by could he play the blues. I mean he was only 17 or 18 ....unbelievable. RIP. adrian
I meant "boy" not by!!
It would be handy to have an edit button, wouldn't it. I usually end up deleting the post and starting again.
Your'e right an EDIT or PREVIEW button would really help. I have a laptop which is in my "office" which is unheated, unless expensively, and my wife has an IPad which I prefer to use as I can use it where it is warm. The trouble with the IPad , it is more prone to finger trouble. The entire boiler and radiators are being replaced this year.
Sorry about the ramble, back to the more interesting stuff.
I saw both Skid Row and Thin Lizzy ( twice ) before they became huge. I loved those days , the early seventies - the music scene in London was brilliant and really affordable. I saw early Genesis circa Musical Box in a local pub for about 10 bob!
Only trouble is I have become a little deaf through exposure to PA cabinets about 3 feet away !!
All the best Adrian
I think it was the mid 70s when I saw him with Thin Lizzy. Hazey days they were
It too was a tiny Venue. They were playing on a slightly raised dais, with the audience very close
