The trouble with our age is that it is all signpost and no destination.

Nature gives you the face you have at twenty,

but it's up to you to merit the face you have at fifty.

Be kind to your kids,they'll be choosing your nursing home.

Growing old is mandatory:growing up is optional.

You know you're getting old when all the names in your black book have MD after them.

You know you are getting old when the candles cost more than the cake.

Middle age is when you still believe you'll feel better in the morning.

It's sad to grow old, but nice to ripen.

I must definitely be middle aged then ... I always think i'll feel better in the morning, then get up thinking 'oww, ouch' as i limp to the bathroom with everything aching, and puffers in hand. lol

Think I'm like that ripe apple in the basket with just a bit of rot setting in. Still one bad apple don't spoil the hole bunch eh'

There's a lot of ripe apples down at my local Breathe Easy and the company is truely scrumptious.

I might have a aged body, but young in mind, I boys have told I will not go into a nursing home as I started of in childrens homes.

my brother was the same he was so afraid he would be put in a home.

I am ripening well, the candles on my 70th birthday consisted o two candles, I had two birthday cakes and my 70th was good because I made no contribution to it, but it was a lovely day.

I like to consider my-self to a good wine that is maturing slowly but nicely.

Like copdber, I too get compared to a fine wine thats gets better and better!
