Seems to be a lot of Chinese posts. Never seen before. We might have been scammed

I've reported the posts as spam. These have been appearing recently and from new accounts. This latest one claimed to be Latino.

Yes, they join and post their spam. I have reported it many times. Please could we all report these posts?😑

I remove them every day, asthma UK are asking heath unlocked to sort this issue out.

I'm also removing them and restricting users but they come back with new accounts. As Homely2 says we have flagged the issue so hopefully HealthUnlocked will be on it.

Not a hack just ruthless people or person trying it on. Never open anything that looks suspicious. As you're in an earlier timezone you could be the first to click on the report button next time!

I used to be a moderator (not an admin unfortunately) on a public forum for one of the big tech companies. The spam on this forum today looked just like the ones that use to hit the forum I was a moderator on. Cleaning up the spam was a real pain (if I'd had admin rights I could have sorted it properly). It really needs filters added by Health Unlocked, based both on message content and the source IP address of posts, otherwise this will be an on-going problem

It's not really hacking, more like spamming and that can be bad.

I used to be joint admin to an international cricket forum which i enjoyed - but multi spamming is hard to deal with, ban the spammer and often others follow - Worse, some spammers spam porn posts just for the hell of it and can be hard work cleaning up.

The difference between spammers and hackers is, with hackers you can lose control of the forum. . We never got hacked.

Not long ago Anne (my wife) did - A Macafee hack where her computer was not in her control. it would have lead to a charge for a so call fix. I crashed her laptop and that worked, but she lost all her files..

With the cricket forum we searched every night in turn, and members reported if they found anything. Spamming really is a real pain. If you can ban IP Addresses that would help. to a degree.
