Good Morning!

Message from our media team:

More and more people with lung conditions are finding it difficult to pay for prescriptions, rent and heating and it’s making it harder for people to manage their condition – people are struggling with breathlessness and ending up in hospital more often, some even having to give up work. If the cost-of-living crisis has affected your lung health and you’d like to tell your story, our media team would love to have an initial chat to find our more.

Years ago, when AUK was campagning for free prescriptions for asthma, a politician told me there were so few who paid it wasn't worth dealing with it. (!) Is it possible to find out any kind of figures for this? There must be some stats for the asthma prescriptions issued and those paid for against those which are free. It might help. If there are so few who pay, surely the government can afford to be generous. It is, for most of us, a lifelong condition.
