does this sound like asthma?

My heartbeat wheezes when i exercise. i sometimes wake up in the middle of the night trying to catch my breath which i always thought was anxiety as i do have severe anxiety. Lately ive been finding it really stuffy and have to take deep breaths even when just sitting or laying down.

It's annoying when your breathing is a problem. Definitely go to your GP and check it out so together you can work out what to do about it. You won't know what it is until you've had a variety of tests. Wishing you all the very best.

Good morning! You know there are occasions when you should really make an appointment to see your gp. This community is not medically qualified and I think you really need to see someone who is? Hope your worries are resolved I m sure they will be. Louise 😊

Certainly sounds like asthma as I have similar symptoms. Definitely worth checking out as it important to control it at an early stage, but don’t worry about it as plenty of very fit people (Bradley Wiggins comes to mind) have asthma and, with suitable treatment, it doesn’t seem to affect their performance at all!

I will talk to the doctor today but i suspect it's a histamine intolerance causing my shortness of breath.
