How do you clean inhalers (not spacers)...if you're clumsy & drop them somewhere grubby?!

Hi there, I may be the clumsiest of asthmatics but wonder what you tend to do if you drop your inhaler (salbutamol/clenil modulite types) somewhere grubby and the canister pops out too. I tend to wash the main unit well with hot soapy water but don't know what to do about the canister part. Any suggestions welcome! Thanks.

I’d just give it a wipe with an antibacterial wipe. Both canister and holder.

Thanks Bevvy, I'm relieved that it's so simple! 😊

One of the tests to see how much is left in the canister is to float it in water. Presumably you can do the same to clean it - must be watertight.

Ooh, that's a very good point, thank you!
