Strange

Hello, hope this finds you well and safe. My question is a bit strange and silly. On rising from a lying down posting, I start to caught, has anyone else experienced this? I know it sounds weird, but I don’t really cough much when doing something anything else. If anyone has a clue on why this happens, I’d be grateful. Thank you and stay safe as you can.

When concentrating on a task I cough less. As soon as finished, such as typing this, it’s back to coughing.

On extra prednisolone at the moment due to heat and allergies but still coughing.

Things like post nasal drip and reflux cause secretions to sort of collect when lying down and then they irritate the throat when sitting up so it might be worth investigating those.

I get chest tightness when turning in bed, standing up, sitting down, driving a car and turning the turn etc. -- when the asthma is poorly controlled. I rarely cough of wheeze, which is unfortunate b.c. I am not aware for any physical test for immediate "chest tightness".
