So as I’m sure many of you like myself received the email/letter with strong advice to shield for the second time. Next step is a tiered system as rates are still high but the letter only covers until 02/12/20 so is it back to playing Russian roulette when we go back to work

Unlike last time, the gov. website already has a line in the tiered information section that says additional advice for CEV will be given soon. By ‘soon’ they possibly mean ‘the night before’ like last time- but at least the sentence is there!!

If you're concerned about your exposure to covid risk in the workplace then you can request reasonable adjustments that provide additional protection. HR will arrange an occupational health review that will look at your workplace and consider your health in order to make recommendations to the employer as to what adjustments can be made. Adjustments can include a change in duties, working in isolation and working from home. If you work for an employer without access to OH services then you can seek advice and support from Access to Work, a free government scheme that provides occupational health services. gov.uk/access-to-work
