Local restrictions and shielding

Hi all

Hoping everyone is well and safe.🙂

I have just come out of shielding and live in an area where there are local restrictions that have just being set in place, and unsure if I still need to continue to shield as there seems to be no information that is clear and wondered if anyone knew any information or live in a area where local restrictions are and have been shielding. Any advice would be much appreciated

Kind regards

Best thing to do is check your local authority website. Blackburn with Darwin are advised to shield. Texts and letters are being sent out there.

I think yes, I’m sure I read or saw n news that shielding is extended for 2 weeks for you guys. Don’t quote me on it but I think that’s what I heard somewhere.

Same here, my local council sent amessage out advising shielders to continue shielding, although its only advice and not an order. I was looking forward to be able to do more stuff but I'd decided to stay in for a bit longer. Hope this helps.

Only thing I suggest is either get intouch with either your council, or Councillor.

Do you have a well being team those who been phoning you up to make sure your ok when you've been shielding.

Plus you can get intouch with your local age uk they've might be helpful not to sure but I think they been doing the well being calls or refaralls.

You can ring your GP surgery up and you can ask them. Depends where your living Manchester no they just declared a major incident either yesterday or day before because of covid.

Understand Leicester is coming out of lockdown but not sure about any where else who has had a spike.

Not what you're looking for?
