Is My Coughing A Symptom Of Asthma Or Covid?

It’s hard to know, AsthmaMonkey. It is more likely to be asthma, especially if you don’t have any other symptoms. We had been having some odd weather, what with heatwaves and thunderstorms, both of which can affect asthma.

If you are worried, have you thought of getting a test? I think you ring 119 and they can send one out to you.

Is it a new cough, or a returning symptom? Do you have any other symptoms of either asthma or COVID? Does your reliever help?

If you are unsure, you should book in to get a covid swab taken then isolate until it’s been cleared. Whilst you’re doing that you can also take to your Gp about your asthma just in case it is asthma. You could also give the AUK asthma nurses a call.
