Stopping uniphylin

Has anyone experienced an increase of symptoms after stopping uniphylin?

I stopped uniphylin when I started Xolair (omalizumab) treatment, did not have any problems.

I used to be on uniphyllin which did help my asthma when it was therapeutic however for various reasons it did get stopped, which did correspond to a worsening of my asthma control. I’m not sure why they stopped it for you, but it’s not unexpected that stopping a drug which is helping, and not replacing it with another, will lead to a worsening of symptoms....

I stopped taking aminophylline which is similar for a month due to a very bad virus and my asthma cough got worse, I then had to start on one tablet a day then increase again to 2 a day after few weeks
