Sciatica
Hi
Sorry to hear this. You may find more help on one of the pain forums but I’d advise going to see an osteopath to see if they can help (I am rooting my own profession). I’m assuming you’re on the normal pain med regime docs give. It may also be an idea to contact your surgeon and see if they have anything that can help... are you currently seeing a physio etc
Hope this helps and either it calms down or you can get on top of it soon
Have you tried using turmeric capsules for inflammation like most pains in the body it’s due to inflammation of a nerve which then swells causing the pain, I bought a coffee sized jar of turmeric powder from grapetree & mix it in porridge the add cinnamon to mask the flavour of turmeric, give this a whirl it will be about 2-4 days before the inflammation reduces but it’s better than pain killers that don’t treat the cause of pain
I am on gabapentin 900mg as I have sciatica and it works wonders for me. But definitely get in touch with your medical care team to see what they can do to help you
Hopefully you have ongoing after care until the issue has resolved? If not then pursue with the relevant doctors.
Surgeons do tend to consider an operation successful even though the patient needs other care, such as physiotherapy.
Ask the team that treated your sciatica what options are now available to address your ongoing pain and rehabilitation. If necessary you may have to push for it. Physiotherapy is too often overlooked by doctors when their bit of the treatment is finished.
Rehabilitation is what will make the operation successful and physiotherapy will support you through that.
I takeCBD for my pain and it has stopped my sciatica being an issue, and pain gone. My dose is 250mg twice a day.
