Hi everyone.

Just wondered if anyone here using Fostair has hot red face as a side effect? Like a hot flush. May be it's brought on by an increase in heart rate.

I certainly got that as a symptom. I'm very sensitive to new medicine. Hope it calms down for you.

Many thanks for your response.

I was ok with it for the first 6-8 weeks but just now I started to get hot, red cheeks. I can't link this to anything but the Fostair :/

Although two days ago I had a general anaesthesia for a minor op, and wondered whether this could significantly impact post-operatively on asthma. Fostair completely got rid of my cough, but this week it's back (although not nearly as bad).

I'm thinking the anaesthetic had a negative impact in some way. Research on the internet is inconclusive as it mainly talks about the impact of a general anaesthetic with asthmatics during surgery, not after.

You could be right. After anaesthetic some asthmatics can take a while to recover. Hope you feel better soon.
