New inhalors?

Hi , i have noticed my blue inhalor is smaller than the one i had a few years ago ? Are they the same ingredients? It doesnt seem to be as effective. A friend said they use a. Cheaper drug now , does anyone know if this is true or have a link to any articles ? Many thanks

It’s a different combination as they have moved off brand. The smaller ones are usually CFC free and use alcohol in the mix. Unbranded/CFC free is cheaper and many people find them less effective. When I get my repeat I tell the doc I have to have the normal ventolin cause I have issues with the CFC free

Yes insist on the usual Ventolin. I do. The others not effective

My Seretide inhaler, purple, changed to another maker when I got my prescrip last Sept2018, and definitely seems less effective and makes me cough chestily more. Is there a change happening ready for post Brexit to cheaper makers ?
