I don't think this is something you need to worry about. Asthma isn't like a heart attack -it comes on and you are given stuff to deal with it. Those who do die from asthma have been very obviously ill beforehand. Most deaths are preventable. You are highly unlikely to die in your sleep if you have not been very, very ill the day before.
