Brittle asthma

Just come out of hospital where I was ventilated for my asthma

Dr says I have brittle asthma, new to me and said about getting an asthma bracket and an emergency number on my phone

Can anyone advise on this pleae

Glad your out now, hopefully you’re feeling a bit better!

By bracket do you mean bracelet? If so I got mine from eBay, which came with a credit card for my purse containing all my info. I also carry a sheet of paper with all my info on it (personal info, drugs, allergies etc etc) so that if I can’t talk they have everything they need to know there (my friends all know where I keep it too so if I’m unconscious for any reason they also know where it is).

Not sure what he means about an emergency number other than possibly your specialists or the asthma team at the hospital??? It’s worth double checking with your consultant what he actually meant!

I hope everything calms down for you now and that you don’t have to go through this again!
