The list of diseases linked to air pollution is growing

At the start of the study, 48 percent of children with asthma had reported bronchitis symptoms in the previous year. In communities with the greatest drop in pollutants during the study period, bronchitis prevalence fell by as much as 30 percent in children with asthma.

A very interesting but rather depressing read. Underlines clearly the need for cleaner air for the sake of our health, adults as well as children, and much wider effects evident than respiratory problems- which all of us here know are huge. I shall have to try harder to change my diesel car....though petrol far from innocent. The importance of clean air really does need pushing up the political agenda. Makes me stress about Donald Trump even more!
