Yes, i believe air conditioning is actually good. Any other opinions out there?

Air conditioning always helps me! I don't do well in heat.

I found that air conditioning in my car irritates my asthma. Perhaps it's being in a confined spaces space that does it. My asthma is very well controlled at the moment. Not tried air con yet though in my car yet this year so perhaps it will be better

Same here. I am unable to cope with air conditioning.

I find that humidity affects my Asthma greatly, and heat. I use a portable air conditioner to reduce the humidity down to a comfortable level for me, and then to cool the room when it gets too hot. I would really struggle without it. Regarding air conditioning in cars, just wondering how often the systems are cleaned and maintained at the garage? (don't know how the car aircon works). It is easy to clean the filters on the portable (thats a laugh) air conditioners.

I find I am fine with the air con in my car( I get it cleaned and new filters every year though) . However ,I sometimes find that air conditioning systems elsewhere sometimes bother my asthma. The air often seems very dry and sometimes dusty.

I use an air filter at home but not an air conditioner. Everyone is different!

Yes, I monitor the humidity level as well, as I find there is a narrow level around the low 40% where I am comfortable. When the air is dry and hot, I just use the cooling fan setting on the air conditioner. If not and humid, then I use the dehumidifing setting and the cooling fan.

clean and new filters I will do that.

Cold air blasts always cause worsening of my symptoms. So air conditioning is really not for me unless it is not too cold and maintained properly ( vents vacuumed and the system equipped with a bacteria /mold killing lamp). Besides it has drying effect on the airways which I find harmful to them in a long run.

Hi. I have had asthma since I was sixty. We live in Cyprus where the temperature reaches over 40c. Air con is essential for me. It is essential not to have it set too cold prior to going to bed , then I use a fan. In the car if I set it higher than one or two I will start to cough. Dust is a major problem as it is so dry. This summer I am going back to the north of England foe 8 was to try the cooler weather.
