Shannon you really need to go to your doctor to sort out your anxiety and stop looking online and scaring yourself.

Asthma is a hard condition and asthma attacks are a reality but it is a manageable condition for many people with the right medical help; a lot lead normal lives working, learning and socialising while managing asthma.

Please go and see the doctor about your anxiety and stop looking online as you are only making yourself poorly with possibilities and maybes. Ask your doctor for information and advice.

Maybe you should trying calling one of the asthma nurses from asthma UK, they can give you proper medical advice.

I have to agree with all the comments particularly Beth_19. Your biggest problem isn't the asthma, but your anxiety. Sort that out and you will be able to cope with your asthma as we all have to do.

Hi Shannon hope ur feeling better soon and it's the worst thing u can do is google it makes u feel ten times worse believe me I've been there and its horrible just phone asthma uk and they will give u all the advice u need good luck Hun x

I read recently that you should treat website forums (except this one, of course!) with a considerable degree of caution, as posts are often from a very few individuals who've had an unusually bad time, whereas the majority of people have few problems and therefore don't post. I think there's a lot of sense in that - it stops you worrying unnecessarily.

Lot of sensible advice here, though. Get well soon.

Please don't torture yourself by constantly looking online or stressing about your peak flow. People of all shapes, ages and sizes have many different peak flows and they are not the be all and end all that they may sometimes be seen as!

Please contact AsthmaUK and your GP who will both be able to explain clearly what you need to take and when .
