Neurological probs

I've had numbing and weakness on my left side, on and off since 2008, last year landing me in the stroke clinic for numerous tests (all ok). Today another brain MRI has been ordered, along with a neck scan, to confirm suggested diagnosis of Functional Disorder. (Do they make up these names to make you feel worse?!) Wondering if anyone has this?

Seeing asthma consultant later today. When I last saw him in April he said he would be discharging me. I think not! Perhaps telling him that GPs should send patients to resp physio first wasn't what he wanted to hear....
